office envy

I am fortunate enough to have an office at work.  With a full bank of windows behind me, and a pretty decent view.  I've done what I can to incorporate some of my design asthetic to it...given that I can't pick the furniture, color, flooring etc.  I've had to get creative. ;)

I often dream of what it would be like to work in a downright awesome looking office.  Enter Aerin Lauder's office.

beach cruiser

Morning!

So, the other day as I was driving home from dropping Ryan off at ballet rehearsal I passed a young woman on a beach cruiser.  She looked downright jovial on her bike, strolling through the neighborhood.  I want to be all jovial on a bike ride.

Remember several posts back, when I said I wanted to take advantage of our great little town and do more bike rides?  Well, I think I may have found a bike.  A beach cruiser.

Dare I say I might attach something so I can throw some beach essentials in it?  A basket maybe?  Who am I???  ;)

The beach officially opens on May 26th....and I for one cannot wait to take advantage of that.  And hopefully many of those visits will start with me riding there. :)

Work has been chaotic and ended up getting the best of me last week.

Hi there!


Hope you had a good weekend.  It was an on/off rain fest over here....which allowed me to catch up on some tv episodes (does anyone else start to get stressed out once their dvr gets too full?....it's stupid, I know).


Friday night I ended up having the night free, so I took a little shopping excursion with my friend Lynn....we did some browsing and I attempted to make some purchases...but only ended up with one.....picture of my big purchase down below.  We also had a nice dinner  and caught up, had some good laughs....all in all a really nice evening. :)

spring kitchen crush

Happy May 1st (how did that happen?!) everyone! 

Love this kitchen...which is somewhat comical considering it has many of the same things my own kitchen has (the large island, the 3 pendant lights, drawer pulls, the stools).....but it's the all white that has me drooling.  Nice clean palette, which makes adding pops of color to so easy.
