Meet the 2012 version of Snow White.....played by 23 year-old Lilly Collins (whose father is famous musician Phil Collins).

You may recognize her as the daughter to Sandra Bullock's character in The Blind Side....and this month she plays opposite Julia Roberts in Mirror Mirror.  Not a bad gig, huh?

I, for one can't wait to see her take on the evil queen in the movie. ;)

There are clearly several things that make this young woman stunning, but can I just gush for a minute about her eyebrows?!  Love them.

The long-awaited release of the Hunger Games is here.  Midnight tonight is the official opening, where we will get to see the fictional characters come to life for the first time.  Sadly, I won't be there at midnight, but this weekend for sure.

1st day of spring, 1st day of spring!!!

Spring is officially here!  If you happen to live in or around Chicago, it actually feels like summer.  High in the mid-80's today.  INSANE.

My body is not prepared for mid 80's.  At all.  I'm not full-on complaining (because I'm not completely crazy, I know it's gorgeous and all), but there is a definite tinge of whining in there. ;)

The good news...next week while on my staycation for spring break I might be able to get some actual color...hello tan, oh how I've missed you.

This post is for Erin.  She loves to car dance, I love to car dance (yes, I just admitted that).  And you have to have a catchy song in which to shake your shoulders to.

I saw this youtube video yesterday morning....and as a result have downloaded the song, and have rewatched this clip 5 billion times.  No joke. ;)

A little background....
The singer is Carly Rae Jepsen and she hails from Canada.  Apparently this past December Justin Bieber heard her song and tweeted about it...and his manager Scooter Braun (who discovered Bieber) did a little research and found out that she finished third on Canadian Idol.  She hadn't been picked up by a US label, so he went ahead and signed her to his label, Schoolboy Records. 

And voila....a new catchy pop tune for all of us to be addicted to.

Give it a listen.  The video is not of Carly Rae herself, but of Justin, Selena and some of their friends lipsyncing to the song.  I thoroughly enjoyed watching it, in the most ridiculous way possible. 

It put a huge smile on my face, and has induced many a shoulder dance.

C'mon, you know you're going to love it. ;)

It is currently in the mid-70's here in Chicago.  No, that's not a typo..it's true.  Mid-70's..............ahhh, sun on my face, windows down in the car....pretty awesome.

I immediately want to wear sandals....and that requires a fresh pedicure.  I'll take this color please:

cp: why?  I mean, I would love to lay on the beach, and Ryan would have a great time, but why the change in plans?

?????.  Ok, then.  I guess we wouldn't have had that conversation if it was 30 degrees and snowing out.  ;)  Men.

So we talked about it again this morning and decided to stick with our original plan....taking the week off to hang out with Ryan, but staying home.  I believe this makes me insane.

Happy Friday everyone!

It's gorgeous and sunny here in Chicago today...a little chilly, but with the sun shining you barely take notice.

Anyone who knows me for even a short amount of time knows that I love to laugh.  I've always felt that laughter is one of the best remedies....for nearly every situation.

I agree wholeheartedly.  Someone who can make you laugh...that person is a lovely thing.  I hope that I do that for the people in my life..even if it's only occasionally. :)

I walked into my office this morning to find the sweetest (literally) present ever.  Melissa took the recipe for chocolate chip cookie bars I posted a couple of days ago and made them!!!  Best. Friday. Ever.

House crush

Meet my latest house crush.......it's the home of actress Brooke Shields, located in Manhattan.

What I love about it is that it's elegant without being overly stuffy.  It's inviting and approachable...and the attention to detail is pretty amazing.  The predominant wall color is gray, but it looks different in every room in which it's used.

So, I saw an ad in a magazine for Tommy Hilfiger, and although I don't own any Tommy items, I saw one of the girls wearing these fantastic penny loafers....so, I jumped online, fingers crossed that they weren't insanely priced.  Well, no worries about how much they cost, because they only make them for guys!  What the heck?!

Sad day.  I for sure would've gotten great use out of these.

regretting...

the decision to stay home for spring break this year.  We have two family trips this coming July, so we decided that maybe we should forgo the beach this March to save some money.  Actually I shouldn't say we ...it was actually me who suggested that.  What the hell was I thinking?!!!!

So today...on this 1st day of March I put together what I would like to be wearing/reading in a place I would like to be going to..........
